Lympsham Sports Club at the Pavilion

This community run organization was founded in 1992 and was officially
opened by HRH Princess Anne on May 2nd of that year.

The aim of the Sports Club is to provide a sports and social centre for all ages within the village and surrounding area. We are a members club offering one year, five year or life memberships, but we welcome visitors and provide a temporary membership scheme covering a two week period.

Our fully licensed club house "The Pavilion" is open 7 nights a week from 7pm until 11pm and on Sunday lunch times from 12 noon until 3 pm (all year round). The bar is also open during cricket matches on Saturday & Sunday afternoons in the season. In addition to the well furnished bar areas there is also a patio with picnic tables which is ideal for those summer evenings and for cricket spectators. On the sports front we have plenty going on with both cricket and tennis being affiliated clubs.
Early evening youth training is provided for cricket on Thursdays during the season and is always well attended. Our new extension, completed in 2001, has a skittle alley, pool table, dart board and table tennis equipment. Skittles has really taken off and a number of league teams use the alley, but there is still plenty of time for social/friendly matches.
A fishing club been recently formed and a number of sea fishing trips organised.
Special events are organized in the club from time to time. There is an annual bonfire night with firework display every November and occasionally fun days are held on the cricket outfield. The Club House often holds quiz nights and other theme evenings and Christmas and New Year celebrations are always enjoyable events.

The Sports Club welcomes new members. For further information please

 Harvest Home
Every year Nicky Windridge and her colleagues run a highly successful village "Harvest Home" at the Sports Club. A large marquee is erected on the cricket outfield adjacent the club house in which the entertainment takes place.

The afternoon celebration meal is followed in the evening by music from a top local band and those still hungry can enjoy the pig roast. For further details contact Nicky who would be glad to help you.
