We have been formed since 1958 in the village.

The committee consists of seven women, elected annually, who are very dedicated:

Chair: Mrs. M. Sims, Tara, West Road.
Hon. Sec: Mrs. E. J. Clarke.
Treasurer: Mrs. H. Fear, 16 Worthy Crescent.

We organise activities to raise money for welfare and benevolent work which is for ex-service personnel and their widows. I can tell you our help is very much needed in very many cases.

We have an annual outing with the Men’s section in July, and also join with Branches in neighbouring villages for events and trips.

Organisation is informal so there is no commitment to regular meetings.
