Minutes of Lympsham Parish Council Meeting, 26 October 2007

Councillors Present: Mr. J. Hinton (Chairman), Mr. B. Gooding, Mrs. P. Guess, Mr. K. Hart, Mrs. E. Male & Mr. G. Tuttiett.

Minutes were taken by the Clerk.

92/07 Apologies: None.

93/07 Minutes of Previous Meeting (15.10.07): were confirmed and signed. [Proposed: Mrs. Male; Seconded: G. Tuttiett.]

94/07 Matters Arising / for report from previous meetings:

• The Chairman thanked everyone for attending the meeting; the Clerk was requested to invite a possible candidate for co-option to the PC to the next meeting.
• The Clerk advised that the Notice of Conclusion of Audit had been displayed on both notice boards as required.
• SLCC One-Day Conference: The Clerk is the only person able to attend.

Application to vary a Premises Licence: The Hobbs Boat Inn, Lympsham. No observations.

J. Hinton temporarily handed over the Chair to Mrs. P. Guess, Vice Chairman.

677 Mr. & Mrs. T. Gascoigne, Tranquil End, Slade Lane, Lympsham: Erection of first floor rear extension & balcony.

No observations, but with a recommendation that suitable screening or obscure glass should be fitted.

The Acting Chair suspended the meeting for members of the public to express views.
Subsequently J. Hinton left the room before discussion of the next application.

J. Hinton returned to the meeting and to the Chair.

Following discussion the Clerk offered to make available contact numbers for appropriate services e.g. drainage, highways, planning, etc. within Sedgemoor, along with advice re sheds in the Lympsham News and other outlets.

Items for discussion / Report at next meeting: Play Area Project (New feature & resurfacing); possible reprint of Lympsham history books.

The meeting ended at 8.33 p.m.
